Smallest living horse
As of 7 July 2006, the record for the smallest living horse is
Thumbelina, a miniature sorrel brown mare who measures 44.5 cm
(17.5 in) to the withers and is owned by Kay and Paul Goessling
(Both USA) who live on the Goose Creek Farm Inc, St Louis,
Missouri, USA.
Longest tail on a horse
The longest tail on a horse is 381 cm (12 ft 6 in)
and was measured on the mare JJS Summer Breeze on 23 August 2007. She is
owned by Crystal and Casey Socha of Augusta, Kansas, USA.
Two slightly different measurements were provided. One was 12 ft 7 in by Mrs Williams, one of the witnesses, the other the above, by mr Mohney, a Vet. We decided to go with the measurement that was provided by the Vet because he is the expert in the field.

Tallest Living Horse - Big Jake
Nine-year-old Belgian gelding Big Jake stands at just a quarter of an inch under 6 feet 11 inches - 2 3/4 inches taller than the previous record-holder, a Clydesdale from Texas named Remington.
Big Jake's owner Jerry Gilbert, the owner of Smokey Hollow Farm near Poynette in Wisconsin, often takes Big Jake to horse shows, where he pulls stuff around in a team of four or six draught horses.
And he uses his size for a good cause, helping to raise money for a Ronald McDonald House (charity houses supported by the fast food chain, where parents of hospitalised children can stay to be close to their kids.)
Mr Gilbert says Big Jake, who weighs about 2,600lbs, is good with people, who are astonished when they see just how big he is.
